Jar of Love and Beetles and Bugs get well soon card
My mother in law has the flu! I’ll be sending this cheery get well card along to her. It’s a little tongue in cheek using the Beetles and Bug stamp set. But humor is supposed to help us heal more quickly!
The Details
After stamping my bug and coating him with a layer of Fine Tip Glue so that he has a nice shiny shell, I cut him out.
Using Jar of Love and the coordinating Everyday Jar Framelits, I created a shaker for my bug.
Tip: One of his legs is trapped with a bit of the Adhesive Foam strips so that he wiggles when you shake but he doesn’t shake around. This keeps his delicate legs from getting bent up.
Inside the shaker with the bug are some Sprinkles Embellishements.
And, the inside of the card is finished as well. Again, I’ve used the Labeler Alphabet for the sentiment.
To continue with the get well humor, the bug is flying off.
In order to add a detail, I used a Blender Ben and Smoky Slate ink to color in the rings at the top of the jar. It gives the jar a little more dimension.
Thanks for visiting my blog today make sure you head over to Kylie’s blog – http://bit.ly/KyliesFebHighlights to vote for my Beetles and Bugs Get Well card. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop.
