Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin theartfulinker an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the US. Today, I’m sharing a Garden Wishes shaker card and a video tutorial to go with it to make your card making easier.
Garden Wishes Shaker Card

I made today’s card in anticipation of Spring. Yes, I know that dandelions aren’t everyone’s idea of a Spring flower. But, their pretty yellow heads and fluffy seed balls are hard to resist. They do brighten up a lawn!

For the dandelions, I used the Garden Wishes stamp set. And, I colored in with Stampin’ Blends. To get the soft shadows between the leaves, I used my Softened Blends Technique that I’ve shared with you before.

After adding the Sequins for Everything as my shaker bits over the Dandy Wishes designer paper, I added the frame. The lower right is decorated with some Dandy Wishes die cut grass and a sentiment from Springtime Joy.

Love this shaker card! I’ve tried to make shaker cards but the sequins/etc seem to stick to the adhesive and then only a few are ‘shaking’ about. Any thoughts/tips/tricks?
Thank you, Kathy! Not sure what you’re using for your adhesive but, the Foam Adhesive Strips that I used are not sticky on the sides. That said, do be sure that they are firmly stuck down or your shaker bits will escape or get stuck as they try to slide underneath. If your adhesive of choice is sticky on the sides, try rubbing it with an Embossing Buddy so that it is no longer tacky. Hope that helps!
