As I mentioned yesterday, I have a craft show coming up this weekend. And, I’m sure you’re aware that Easter is little more than a week away. That’s what I’ve been creating for for the last couple of days. When it comes to holidays, I like quick, cute and easily reproducible. I’m sure you’ll find that today’s creation with Friends & Flowers fits that bill. It’s a good one for Easter and one that’s easy to change up for other occasions. I don’t know about you but, I like versatile designs.
So here’s what I did with Friends & Flowers.
I created this cute candy holder.
I used a strip of 2″ x 8 1/2″ Soft Sky cardstock. After scoring it 2 1/2″ from each end, I punched the ends with the Ornate Tag Topper punch.
For the front, I cut a piece of 1″ x 2″ Wild Wasabi cardstock. Then, I textured it with the Fringe Scissors.
Next, I stamped the bunny face and ears from Friends and Flowers in Soft Sky on Whisper White cardstock. The ears were punched with the Festive Flower Builder punch (part of this week’s Weekly Deals). And the face fits perfectly in the 1 3/8″ Circle punch.
The face and one ear were attached with dimensionals. Folding the other ear down adds a bit of whimsy.
Inside is a little “shelf” measuring 2″ x 2 1/2″. I scored it 1/2″ from either end on the 2 1/2″ side. After using the 1″ Circle punch to punch a hole in the center of this piece, I added Tear and Tape to the scored ends.
Fold the scored ends down and attach them right along the score lines for the front and back of the outside piece. This will both form a little “shelf” and partially hold the container together.
The top is tied with White Bakers Twine and Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim.
Inside, you can put a Cadbury Creme Egg or a Ferrero Roche candy or another candy of similar size.
These are great for table favors or little gifts for co-workers. Who doesn’t love an Easter treat?
Thanks for stopping by.
