It’s #stampingsunday and today everyone who wants to play along will be using Flower Shop. That’s great news for you as there will be lots of ideas on how this stamp set might be used and because it is still available as a bundle (which means a 15% discount). This bundle is on the retirement list (Flower Shop and the coordinating punch both appear in the new catalog) this means the bundle price will not be available in the new catalog. But, the bundle hasn’t sold out yet.
I’ve made a favor using Flower Shop today. It’s the time of year for lots of parties, weddings, graduations This would also make a nice something to leave on a coworkers desk just to let her know she’s appreciated. A friend stated that best this week, “It doesn’t matter what it is that’s left. It’s that the coworker or boss took the time to show appreciation.”
I stamped three flowers on Hello Honey with Blackberry Bliss ink. Then, I punched out those images and three more flowers from Rich Razzleberry cardstock with the coordinating Pansy punch.
Using the Simply Scored Stylus and the Stampin’ Pierce Mat, I added dimension to the flowers. For the Hello Honey flowers, I simply traced the circle at the center of the flower. This made the petals pop up. And for the Rich Razzleberry flowers, I traced the shape of the petals. This gives the petals a bit of an arc.
In this close up, you can see how the work with the stylus shapes and adds dimension to the flowers.
Then, I used the largest Banners Framelit to cut a piece of Wild Wasabi. For this sample, I used a pack of gum. Placing the gum at the top of the “v” in the banner, I scored along the bottom of the gum packet. After folding along the scoreline, I then scored along the other edge of the gum packet so that the banner wraps up the back of the packet.
The Rich Razzleberry flowers were adhered to the Wild Wasabi banner with Multipurpose Glue. The two outside Hello Honey flowers were also adhered with glue and the middle flower was popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I wanted only a light hold for the gum packet so, I chose to use just a single Glue Dot on the front and back of the gum packet.
That’s it for this week’s #stampingsunday A simple favor with lots of possibilities. Thanks for stopping by.
