Okay, I may be a little giddy. I’ve had a very quiet morning with time to catch up on email, test a few things and even do a little creating. We enjoy word play at my house and talking about the box I’ll show you in a moment made us think of Dr. Seuss’s “Fox in Socks”. From there is was a short step to Foxy Boxy. I know….SILLY!
I started with one of the kraft Takeout Boxes ( #135827) from the Holiday Catalog. Then, I created a bellyband from a piece of Festive Designer Kraft Paper ( #135828). I sponged the bellyband with Mossy Meadow. You’ll notice the white stripes resist the sponged on ink.
Next, I stamped three leaves using an image from For All Things. After cutting them out, I rumpled them to give the leaves dimension.
Mossy Meadow 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon was tied around the band and then a piece of Gold Sequin Trim was threaded through as an accent.
The final addition to the box was an acorn created from Simply Pressed Clay. After letting it air dry, I rubbed it on the Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow ink pads to tint it. The cap is attached to the nut using Crystal Effects. And Crystal Effects was used to attach the whole acorn to the bellyband.
Here’s a view of the side of the box. These are a fun trapezoidal shape rather than the traditional take out box. I see lots of future uses.
Now that you’ve had a look at my creative share, I’m sure you’ll also want to take a look at this week’s
