Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  As I got ready to create today, I thought back to a conversation my niece and I had in December.  She was telling me her style is clean and graphic.  My thought as I pulled things out was that Flowering Desert is perfectly suited for this type of creating.  So, I did that and ended with a Flowering Desert with a tip card.

 

Flowering Desert

Purple saguaro!

Stamp the cactus in both Gorgeous Grape

and Highland Heather.

No masking needed as the lighter shade does not show through.

 

 

Next, stamp the spines randomly at the base of the cacti in Mint Macaron.

Then stamp the sentiment near the top in Basic Gray.

 

In case you didn’t notice, I couldn’t decide between Highland Heather

and Gorgeous Grape as a mat.

Which do you prefer?

So, I thought I was done….

and then I wasn’t!

Here you will mat the focal image with Highland Heather at a slight angle.

 

 

This is my kind of sentiment!

Great as a pick me up or a reminder that who you are is great.

 

 

Then add a strip of Gorgeous Grape 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon.

I like to use Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to adhere my ribbon.

Next, create this cool heart.

 

 

Emboss with the heart from Eclectic Layers.

Then cut with the small stitched heart from

Be Mine Stitched Framelits.
