It’s the long goodbye! We all have our favorites and we want to take the time to create and share with them. That’s kind of the idea behind this week’s challenge over at Global Design Project. It’s a color challenge as we all say goodby to the old In Colors. I picked up Flourishing Phrases for GDP085. The end result is a pleasing card. So much so, I think I’ll be making a few more. Let’s take a look.
Flourishing Phrases for GDP085
For GDP085,
we had to pick three of the retiring In Colors and use them in our creation.
I chose Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe.
I combined the colors with
Flourishing Phrases
for this card.
My base is Tip Top Taupe cardstock.
Next, I added a layer of Very Vanilla.
It is attached with Dimensionals.
Then, I used the Flourishing Thinlits to cut a flourish
from a piece of Vellum
and
a border strip from Delightful Dijon.
Now, the flourish from Flourishing Phrases was stamped
in Delightful Dijon.
Following that, I inked the splatter stamp in Swirly Bird with Mint Macron
and added splatter in a couple of places.
Next, I stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron onto one of the tags from the
Cupcakes and Carousels Embellishment Kit.
As I only adhered part of the Vellum flourish, the
Delightful Dijon border strip helps to anchor it.
After attaching the sentiment tag with Dimensionals,
I added a few sequins from the same embellishment kit.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my
Flourishing Phrases for GDP085 card.
