We spent the last couple of days in Pittsburgh with my daughter’s Pitt Start session. Kind of a pre-orientation. What a great city! I know she is going to enjoy both the university and being in the city with all of its cultural offerings. She thought it would be nice to take a “hello” gift to her overnight roommate. I thought it was a great excuse to break out some of my new toys and give them a spin. I’d say a “win” for all three of us! By the way, she auditioned and made the university’s band while she was there. She’s sooo excited! Now, let’s take a look at the Flourish Popcorn Box favor.

Flourish Popcorn Box
I couldn’t wait to have an excuse to use the new Popcorn Box Thinlits.
I die cut Bermuda Bay cardstock for my popcorn box.
After burnishing the score lines with my Bone Folder, I added Tear and Tape to the side seams and the bottom tabs. Be sure to burnish the taped areas so that you achieve a good bond.
Next, I die cut Basic Black cardstock
using the largest vine die and the small stem with flower die.
After deciding on the placement of the vines (I wrapped the large vine from one side to an adjoining side), I dotted on a little glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Then, I adhered one small part of the vine at a time.
Tip: Since this glue dries shiny, I like to work on a small section at a time when using it. That way you don’t have to worry about getting glue where you don’t want it. It’s really easy to add more glue and adhere the next small section when using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
I added two homemade brownies to a 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Cellophane Bag and tied it closed with some Basic Black Solid Bakers Twine and Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim.
This made a cute, easy, “hello” gift!
