Feathery Friends Card

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker.  Today, I’m enjoying another day at home with my mom.  And if I’m lucky, while I’m typing up my blog post, my sister will stop by and join me for breakfast.  For today’s creation, I used a retiring Host Set to make my Feathery Friends card.  Let’s take a look.

Feathery Friends Card

 

 

For my card, I made a kind of thinking of you card.

Hugs can be sent for all kinds of reasons!

I love Basic Black and Coastal Cabana together.

So, I’m thrilled that Coastal Cabana is returning to the Stampin’ Up! color palette!

 

 

Over my Basic Black base, I added layers of Silver Glimmer Paper and Whisper White.

To get the beautiful curve, I used the large die from Swirly Scribbles.

Then, I used one of the flower stamps from Feathery Friends to create a random

background pattern in Coastal Cabana (available June 1).

Using the a die from Lovely Wishes, I cut the “hug” from Coastal Cabana.

Then, I snipped the word loose from the circle that is created with the die.

After adding a few Iridescent Sequins, I moved inside.

 

 

 

For the inside, I matted in Whisper White and

stamped a single flower.
