One of the classes that’s a standard part of my monthly lineup is called “Fast and Fab”. The cards we make at this class are fast, clean and simple cards. I really try to limit the tools that I use in designing these cards. While it’s fun to add lots of layers, I find it challenging to create clean and simple cards that have some elegance, umpf, wow — whatever you call that thing that catches your eye and makes you think “I really like that”. The cards are always a hit and I enjoy the stretch they give my creativity.
This card from last Monday’s Fast and Fab class used the Language of Love stamp found in the new Occasions catalog. We started with a Raspberry Ripple base and added a layer of Whisper White. We stamped the multi-language heart in Raspberry Ripple directly on the Whisper white layer. The banner pieces are also from Language of Love and were stamped in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake. You can use the Banner framelits or paper snips to cut out the banners. Use your Paper Piercing Tool to put holes in both corners of each banner and then string the banner on Linen Thread. Each banner is held in place with a Glue Dot. Finally, the tiniest bit of bling was added by punching a heart out of Champagne Glimmer paper with the Small Heart punch. Quick and Easy. Or as we like to say, Fast and Fab.
