The Spiral Flower die twist that is. I’ve come up with another way to use the Spiral Flower die and want to share it with you today. How about a two tone rose?
Something got me thinking about my high school prom yesterday and I remembered the year that my friends and I were in charge of decorations. As part of the decorations, we were using lots of fresh flowers. One friend had an amazing climbing rose up the back of her house. And my parents had a garden with a variety of lovely, two tone roses. We pulled out our clippers and set to work. While we didn’t take them all, we did take a load of those flowers.
I began to think of those two tone roses when I spotted some scraps of Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloup and knew I was on to something.
I got up this morning and created the rose and thought, “now what am I going to use this on?” That’s when I remembered my Venetian Romance designer paper. I made this little gusseted pouch. For the closer, I used the Scallop Tag Topper punch. Then I ran a piece of Gold Baker’s Twine through the slot in the punch and wound it around the rose.
Wouldn’t this make a lovely favor for a wedding? How about a sachet for a lingerie drawer? Or, a little something for Mother’s Day?
Here’s a little better view of the two tone rose. It’s got a delicate quality that will go with a variety of styles. Check below for a quick video showing you how to create these roses.
Leave me a comment and let me know how you’re going to use these roses.
