A while back, I participated in a fundraiser for which I donated a gift certificate for custom favors. One of the things I truly enjoy is bringing someone’s idea to life and that’s what I get to do when I create custom items. It’s almost doubly creative since one has to see the other person’s vision and then create it.
Well about a month and a half ago, I received a call from someone I didn’t know telling me she had won my gift certificate. This story may seem somewhat familiar as at the time, I shared one of the “losing” creations. (You can see it here) In case you didn’t see that post, these are for a bridal shower with a “household” theme.
Now for the favors that were chosen:
The bridesmaids liked the idea of the mini coffee cups as most of us have coffee at home.
I decorated with the event colors: Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz. Ohhh, they look so bright and spring-like. Have I mentioned that I’m ready for the weather to be a bit warmer?
Think Spring, think Spring, think Spring……
I’ve used the Blossom, 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle and 3/4″ Circle punches on the top. The cup itself is covered in a piece of Night of Navy that has been embossed with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder. Both the Pear Pizzazz belly band and the center of the flower were embossed with Perfect Polka Dots. And tied around the middle is a piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched ribbon. I finished with a banner “stirrer” that was stamped with “Thank You” from Morning Meadow (a Hostess Set).
Aren’t they cute? These would be great on most any table. I know I’d enjoy receiving one. Next is to make a few of these with bunny ears for Easter.
