I was adding a few things to my Pinterest boards during the week and a saw a cute cake. So, I pinned it with plans to come back and make it in paper. I thought it would be perfect for sharing at a book club meeting! I ended up creating this Cutie Pie Thinlits book slice favor that I’m sharing with you today.

Using the Cutie Pie Thinlits
I created this slice of a book.
The rear opening has been changed a bit so that I could make it look more like
the binding of a book.
It now has a tuck in flap.
After cutting the box pieces,
I used the Cutie Pie Thinlits again to selectively cut just the side panels.
Once these Very Vanilla panels were cut,
I used a ruler and my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to
lightly draw lines along each piece.
The lines give the idea of pages.
Then, I used a dauber and Crumb Cake ink to
add shading to the top, bottom and front of each panel.
Finally, I painted on some Versamark ink refill along the edge of the spine
and on the front of the book slice pages
and heat embossed in gold.
I hope you’ll think about this for your next book club gathering!
Or even when you need to wrap a gift for your favorite book lover.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Cutie Pie Thinlits book slice.
