Welcome to this week’s Creation Station blog hop. Today the creative crew is focusing on single stamps and the many bag styles that are available in the catalog. Take a look at what we have in store for you and if you’re like me, you’ll see things in a new light or possibly products you have overlooked.
For my contribution to today’s hop, I focused on the Sketched Dots bags. I love the pretty, almost delicate look of these bags and have enjoyed using them for gift and favor packaging. But, today I wanted to try something different.
I’ve created a mini album using the Sketched Dots bags for my cover and pages.
I’ve kept things fairly simple with a color scheme of Smoky Slate and Whisper White. As I created, I decided this album would work for either wedding or baby. With that in mind, I kept the embellishment to a minimum but added lots of features instead.
Let’s take a peek inside.
Each page has a front and a back, of course. In addition, each page has a pocket with a slide out page that’s great for journaling or additional pictures.
These slide out pages each have a tab covered with designer paper from the Neutrals paper stack and punched with the Decorative Label punch.
Some of the pages feature a
fold out page. This adds 2 to 4 additional spaces for photographs, memorabilia and journaling. Each of these pages has been edged with more of the designer paper from the Neutrals pack.
One side of this page is a waterfall feature. There are spaces for 9 photos and/or journaling. These are the perfect size for pictures snapped using your phone.
Closed above and semi-open below.
And last but not least,
a pocket at the back that’s perfect for a private note or two.
I’m thinking this album is a perfect shower gift. And the pocket could hold either love notes from the wedding day for each member of the new couple or notes from the new parents for their little bundle of joy to read in later years.
Thanks for stopping by. Now it’s time to hop. Let’s see what the rest of the creative team has whipped up this week.

Sara, love this! Any chance you’d do a tutorial on this? The waterfall feature is so clever as is the overall design – not too much but enough areas for pics and notes.
Barb ~ Thanks for asking. I’ll try to put a tutorial together for it this week.
