Hello! And welcome to this month’s Creation Station blog hop!
We’re all about Christmas today and are featuring Peaceful Pines and Embellished Ornaments.
I’m sure you’ll come away with some new inspiration for using these stamp sets, from our creative team.
I’ve focused on Peaceful Pines and the coordinating Peaceful Pines framelits.
My first creation is a perfect home decor gift for Christmas!
I found these empty snow globes..
I started with a piece of Vellum cardstock and after cutting it to size with one of the Circles Collection framelits, it was embossed with the Softly Falling folder.
Next, I stamped, embossed in silver and cut several Blushing Bride trees using the Peaceful Pines bundle. After scoring them down the center, I adhered the trees to each other to create a 3D tree; to which I’ve added a garland of 1/8″ Silver Ribbon and and Iced Rhinestone Tree Topper.
At the base of the tree is a circle of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper. It adds the look of sparkly snow on the ground.
Since this is paper, the snow globe couldn’t be filled with liquid. So, I punched Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and attached the circles to the globe. This gives the impression of snow falling inside the globe.
Finally, I wrapped the base of the snow globe with a combination of Whisper White seam binding and a stripe of 1/8″ Silver ribbon to give it a finished look.
Every gift needs a tag so, next I created a tag to go with this present.
I stamped the dotted tree from Peaceful Pines on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Blushing Bride. You can’t see the dots in this picture but, they do show up in real life.
Next, I layered with a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock that had been cut with the Peaceful Pines framelits. I created sort of a “reverse” shaker by adding the next layer of Holiday Foil Vellum over the cut out. This gives a nice muted look to the shaker. The shaker is filled with Silver and Blushing Bride sequins from sequin trim.
After rounding the corners, I added a loop of Silver Cord trim and an accent strip of Blushing Bride sequin trim.
Thanks for stopping by. You’ll find the product details below.
