Welcome to the June Creation Station blog hop Something Old and Something New! We’ve got lots of creative ideas to share with you. And, we’ve added some new members to our international design team. Let’s take a look at what I’ve created with Happy Birthday Gorgeous for Creation Station.
Happy Birthday Gorgeous for Creation Station
I’ve created two very different cards using this versatile stamp set – my something new.
–
–
My first card is a clean and simple card.
It used a color combination of Night of Navy, Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White.
I stamped balloons from Happy Birthday Gorgeous in Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist on Whisper White.
Then, I added an accent balloon stamped in Night of Navy on Lemon Lime Twist.
My something old is the Balloon Bouquet Punch.
–
–
After punching the balloons, I added Whisper White Baker’s Twine for the balloon strings.
Then, I stamped Happy Birthday in Night on Navy on Whisper White.
Using the Pretty Label Punch, I cut out the sentiment before
adding it with Dimensionals.

It took a twist!

I used an Aqua Painter to create a Lemon Lime Twist background on Watercolor Paper.
Then, I adhered this panel to a base of Berry Burst.
I stamped seven balloons in Berry Burst on Whisper White.
Again, I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch to cut them out.
–
–
Next, I arranged the balloons like flower petals.
After adding a ¾” Circle Punch of Night of Navy and a Clear Faceted Gem,
I attached the flower to the watercolored layer with Dimensionals.
Using leaves from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, stamped in Tranquil Tide.
For the sentiment and its border I used stamps from the same set and inked them in Berry Burst and Night of Navy.
The Classic Label Punch is another “something old”.
Under the sentiment is a ¾” Circle Punch of Silver Glimmer Paper.
And, the final accentes are Glitter Enamel Dots.
