Card

For today’s card,
you’ll want the Geared Up Garage Bundle.
Details HERE
Get it before June 3 and receive the 10% bundle discount pricing.

For this fun, bright Geared Up Garage card
start with a Night of Navy base
and a Watercolor Paper panel.

Create your watercolor background with an Aqua Painter
and ink refills.
After letting it dry, stamp the gears in Night of Navy.

Use a Garage Gears die to cut the background piece for the sentiment
and the Copper Foil gears / cogs.

After fussy cutting the sentiment,
add the foil centers from the gears to the stamped gears
as an accent.

Favor

Next, is a Geared Up Garage birthday favor,
treat box or small gift box.
The Copper Foil gears make a perfect embellishment for the top!

Take a strip of Water Color paper
and create a watercolor pattern similar to the card above.
Once it has dried, cut it into blocks.
Try to adhere it so that what used to be adjoining pieces
are on the next side.

Finish with another set of the Copper Foil gears
on the front panel.
These are quick to make / mass produce.
So they’re perfect for an upcoming celebration for your guy!!

Wow what a lovely watercolour effect and just love the touch of copper with those gears – using the cut-outs from the gears for the extra bling is genius!
Thanks, Tanya! I know it’s a guy card but…it still needed some kind of bling.
Eek!! I LOVE the way you captured the perfect watercolor effect with the gears. Way to rock those aqua painters and inks Sara!
Thank so much, Jennifer! Aqua Painters and ink = so much fun to play with!!
Sara: I love this! I never would have used this color combination and stamp set. You’re brilliant. I especially like that the gears left a vintage-y feel on the watercolor paper. Perfection! xoKathyxo
Thanks, Kathy! You are so kind!! I needed some bright colors after all of the soft shades I’ve played with lately.
Love the gears on your watercolor background–great projects!
Thanks, Sara. They were fun to make!
