Hi! Welcome to my blog and Happy Easter! I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker. Today, I’ve created for the Creation Station Blog Hop Garden Party. I had so much fun thinking about warmer weather and a party in my garden, I even pinned some food — you know kinda planning ahead! Let’s take a look a what I’ve created with our garden party theme. Then you’ll want to check out the rest of this fabulously creative team!
Creation Station Blog Hop Garden Party
For today’s creations I’ve gone a little Kate Spade-esque.
Using a Basic Black base, I added a layer of Whole Lot of Lovely designer paper.
Then, I stamped a random pattern of dots from Banners for You on Whisper White.
I matted the Whisper White layer with a narrow layer of Melon Mambo.
Moving up, I have a Gold Glimmer Paper scallop oval.
On the stitched Whisper White oval, I stamped floral images from Banners for You.
Layering again, I cut two banners — one in Whisper White and one in Melon Mambo.
After stamping the sentiment and leaves, I added the matted banner to my card
before tucking in some punched leaves in Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green.
And, to finish the inside of the card, I added a strip of Whole Lot of Lovely designer paper
to the Whisper White mat.

Project 2
For my box, I started by cutting Basic Black with the Window Box Thinlits.
Then, I cut squares of Whole Lot of Lovely designer paper for the sides of the box.
On the top of the box, I added this great flower in Melon Mambo!

Then, I tucked in some Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green Leaves.
To finish, I added a Tailored Tag Punch tag with a sentiment from Banners for You.

Hey Sara,
I like this colour combination and I am also thinking of warmer weather your projects bring some summer feeling to me 😉
Kind Regards, Kerstin
Thanks Kerstin! Glad they projects are helping you think ahead to summer. We had snow this morning and now it’s like a Spring day out. Real flowers should be blooming soonish.
Gorgeous Garden themed creations, Sara. And very Kate Spade(esque). Your Spring will be there for you soon. D xox
Thanks Denita! I hope so — but, it’s snowing again today. Though since I have nowhere to be, I can enjoy how beautiful it looks on the trees.
Oh I just totally adore that flower – and the colour combo is just perfect! A perfect little gift set.
Thank you Tanya! I’ve used a lot of pastel in the last week or so — it felt good to go big and bold with color.
Wow, this is a stunning card, so beautiful and fun. Your gift box is just amazing, love it!
Thank you Linda! Now, it just needs to warm up so that I can have my garden party.
Love your Kate Spade–look color combo: Black and Bright! Your projects are terrific–love the flower.
Thanks Sara! I love the black and bright combo too!!
