Oh So Succulent Creation Station
If you follow my blog regularly, it is no surprise that I concentrated on Flowers to Showers. I just love flowers! So, I decided to play with the Oh So Succulent bundle. For my card, I kind of CASE’d the Succulent Garden designer paper. At least the idea of the tight floral design. But, I wanted to go bright!
So channeling my inner Lily Pulitzer, I created this card.
Color Combo
For my color combo, I used Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder, and Cucumber Crush inks. With these colors, I created a random pattern of flowers using a variety of stamps from Oh So Succlent. Leaving some white space helps the colors to just pop! Now I wish I had been working with a larger piece – I just love this!!
Details
Next, I added layers of banners using Bermuda Bay and Cucumber Crush cardstocks and a bit of Affectionately Yours washi. Using the Succulent Framelits, I cut four flower pieces from Melon Mambo.
Then, I took a Sponge Dauber and inked the edges of each petal with Whisper White Craft Ink.
Before adhering the flower pieces, I used my Bone Folder to gently shape the ends of the petals.
Final accents were Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine behind the Melon Mambo flower and a trio of Basic Rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my Oh So Succulent creation.
