Creation Station Blog Hop Celebrations of the Heart
–
–
I had so much fun creating for this theme!
When I started, I thought I was making a wedding card.
By the time I finished, I decided my creation makes a perfect non-traditional wedding invitation.
–
–
For my base, I used Berry Burst cardstock.
Then, I added a layer of Very Vanilla stamped with the floral image from Floral Statements.
Over that, I placed a strip of Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding.
Next, is the focal layer.
I stamped it with images from Perennial Birthday.
For the sentiment, I used Love You Still and finished with a Tutti Frutti Sequin.
–
–
Inside, I stamped another cluster of images from Perennial Birthday.
And then,
–
–
I made a coordinating envelope.
Anybody would be excited to see what is inside!

Project 2 – Escort Cards
–
–
Since I was working with a wedding theme, I decided to create some
escort cards to go along with my invitation.
First, I cut the Very Vanilla pieces with the Tailored Tag Punch.
Then, I used Perennial Birthday to decorate.
Tip: Place the pieces next to each other so that you get the benefit of overlapping edge stamping.
These will make a beautiful escort card board!
And, they’re right on trend, using a visually appealing shape and bold colors!

Project 3 – Wedding Tissue Box
–
–
Finally, is this wedding tissue box.
It’s not my original idea — I saw a wedding tissue box on Pinterest.
This is my version.
I used a Clear Tiny Treat Box and trimmed the inside tabs by 1/4″
before adding the tissue.
–
–
After adding my Berry Burst square to the top,
I cut a hole with the 1-1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.
Tip: Punching is hard so, make sure you don’t have one of the tabs also in the punch — ask me how I know 😉
Then, pull the tissue up.
–
–
For the body of the box, I used a Berry Burst belly band.
Then, I tied it with a piece of Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding and offset the bow.
Finally, I added a Stitched Shapes circle with images from Perennial Birthday
and accented with a Tutti Frutti sequin.

Gorgeous colour combination for your Wedding themed projects, Sara. The mini tissue box is so adorable, and I love how you have used the Perrenial Birthday stamp set without a Birthday in sight! D xox
Thank you Denita! They were so fun to make that it makes me sorry I’m not working on a wedding.
Sara: I love, love, LOVE these projects. The colors are stunning! I especially like how you used the “Perennial Birthday” set! The little tissue box is adorable!! xoKathyxo

Oh what really nice wedding projects! I love the colour combination and your style! Kind regards, Kerstin
Thanks Kerstin! The colors are a little out the box but…my research says bold is in for weddings.
Love this set of projects – especially because my daughter is getting married next month! I love your little tissue box idea – Adorable! It would make a super cute ‘get well’ giftie also!
Congratulations on your daugther’s upcoming wedding! I bet you are busy creating. I like your idea to use the mini tissue boxes as a get well “pick me up”! I’m all about multipurpose ideas.
Great projects. Especially the little box is very nice
Thanks Melanie! I think we’ll see a lot of those little tissue boxes at upcoming weddings.
Sara, I love these! As soon as I saw the colors you used, I was smiling! Love your tip, too–I will remember it for future projects.
Thanks Sara! I’ll look forward to seeing your creations using that tip.
