Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Today, the Creating Kindness design team is hopping. Our guest designer this month is the talented Ashley Fifer. For this month’s hop, the theme is circles; which made me think of the song lyrics “round and round and round in a circle game”. Now, let’s take a look at my Creating Kindness Blog Hop Circle Game card!
Creating Kindness Blog Hop Circle Game
For this card, I used a Gray Granite base.
Then, I added a tight Tranquil Tide mat for my Whisper White layer.
And of course, lots of circles!
Next, I stamped the two circles from Swirly Frames in Merry Merlot.
Using the second largest plain Layering Circle, I cut a piece of Whisper White.
After inking my Buffalo Check stamp with Versamark, I used a Dauber to add
Bright Copper Shimmer Paint.
Then, I stamped the Whisper White circle before adding a Peralized Doily.
Tip: using the Versamark helps to keep the Shimmer Paint open (wet) long enough to stamp.
With the Sprig Punch, I cut Tranquil Tide and Copper Foil sprigs to tuck in.
And using my 3/4″ Circle Punch, I cut Merlot Merlot before adding Basic Pearls.
On the right hand side of the card, I added a Merry Merlot scallop circle.
Over that, I layered a piece of Joyous Noel specialty designer paper.
Next, I painted one of the Frames Elements with Bright Copper Shimmer Paint.
While it was drying, I cut a 1-3/4″ circle of Gray Granite.
Then, I stamped an Itty Bitty Greetings sentiment in Versamark and
heat embossed in Copper.
After attaching the Gray Granite sentiment to the Frames Element, I added loops of
Copper Metallic Thread before adhering the frame layer to the card.
To finish the frame, I colored some Clear Rhinestones with my Dark Rich Razzleberry
Stampin’ Blends, to create berries.
For a final detail, I couldn’t resist adding one more circular element.
Again, I used one of the Frames Elements and this time I backed it with a piece of
Copper Foil Sheet.
And while there’s layers of round and round and round, this Circle Game card is easy!!

Really cool use of circles, Sara! I like how you have used them with your beautiful color combo.
Thanks Jenny! The color combo is thanks to wanting to use the gorgeous Joyous Noel designer paper.
Very pretty Sara, love the addition of the wood elements to your card xo
Thanks Marcy! There are so many great pieces in those wood elements — I need to incorporate them more often.
