We had a beautiful day yesterday! The humidity finally broke. I was so surprised when I went out to walk in the evening. How cool it had gotten so early! In fact, you know it’s cool out when you come into an air conditioned house after exercise and it feels warm.
Today it’s time for a run to the library. I’ve caught up with all of the newspapers and now need something else to read. I’m hoping to find a new author that I like so that picking something is a snap — at least until I ready everything they’ve written.
I’m sharing my DT card for TSOT285.
I started with a Very Vanilla base measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. It’s been scored down the middle.
Next, I added a 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Petals and Paisleys designer paper.
This was topped by a 1-3/8″ x 4-1/4″ stripe of Always Artichoke.
The Very Vanilla focal layer measures 2-1/8″ x 3-3/4″
I added a piece of Affectionately Yours washi to the lower left corner of the focal layer and then tucked another piece of the washi directly under the layer and extended it.
Using Christmas Pines, I stamped the pine image without the stem in Rich Razzleberry but stamped off first. Then, I came back in with the image containing the stem and inked it in Always Artichoke and offset that stamping. It creates some nice texture under neath the pine boughs.
The pine boughs are Rich Razzleberry cardstock that has been cut with Pretty Pines Thinlits.
They’re layered with several loops of Copper Metallic Thread.
And to top it all off, I cut a pine cone from the new Copper Foil with one of the Pretty Pines Thinlits.
Can’t wait to play with these things again!
