It’s been another busy few days. But, I was dying to get back to creating today. In fact, I set out Cheer All Year and the Woodland embossing folder before I went to bed last night.
Over the weekend I went to Atlantic City. The Miss America Pageant was in town and our high school band was selected to march in the Show Me Your Shoes parade. Each contestant had a specially designed pair of shoes (and costume to coordinate) to represent her home state. While it rained the entire parade, it was fun to see the creative shoes. Of the shoes I saw, one of my favorites was Miss Alabama’s:

If you’re looking for a little creative inspiration, take a few minutes and google the shoes from the parade.
Now on to Cheer All Year and the Woodland embossing folder.
This is such a simple, elegant card.
Starting with a Basic Black cardstock base and then adding a layer of Typeset Specialty Paper, I was ready to create.
Using the Woodland embossing folder, I began to work on the focal image. After running the Basic Black cardstock through the embossing folder, I carefully dragged my Versamark pad across the trees. Then, I heat embossed the trees with Gold embossing powder.
The sentiment is from Cheer All Year and was embossed in Gold on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. The Banner Triple punch was used to shape the end of the Very Vanilla piece as well as the Typeset Specialty designer paper mat layer.
Next, there’s a Gold thread bow as a soft accent. And finally, a set of Gold Foil leaves cut using the Bird Builder punch were added. After all, it just wouldn’t be Fall without a few leaves.
