Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  Today, I’m sharing another one of the things that I made for the back to school set.  The college back to school set that is.  These Calligraphy Essentials and Swirly Frames Treats were a perfect way for my daughter to welcome her suite mates back to campus.  But, they’d also be great treats for co-workers or as party favors.

Calligraphy Essentials and Swirly Frames Treats

 

 

Each year as my daughter has headed off to college, we’ve created packaging for

some sort of “hello” treat.

This year, we packaged Skittles and M&M’s since they would survive the heat of an early return.

 

 

On the Whisper White stitched circle, I added a watercolor wash in Grapefruit Grove.

Once the watercolor wash was dry, I stamped the the Swirly Frames circle in Calypso Coral.

Then, I used the “hello” from Calligraphy Essentials twice.

 

Next, I scored and folded the cardstock before adding Garden Impressions designer paper.

After adhering the treat, I folded the packaging and wrapped it with ribbon.

Finally, I attached the sentiment circle.
