When I saw By the Seashore on the retirement list, I knew I would have to play with it a few more times before it is no longer available. I love the beach, and the shells in the set are a perfect size for embellishing scrapbook pages or cards. I’ve also made beautiful custom invitations featuring this set. Today, I’ve got another way to use this set if you’re pinning designs to go back to later.
I’ve combined By the Seashore with PP242.
I hope you’ll think summer sun and a lazy day at the beach when you see this card.
I was thrilled to find the designer paper with the wavy, Lost Lagoon lines in the Moonlight designer paper stack. I must admit I’d forgotten about this design and it was perfect for my layout. Here it looks like water, right?
The sentiment on this card is from Kinda Eclectic and is inked in Lost Lagoon on the Sahara Sand layer. This layer is also splattered with a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge that’s been inked with Sahara Sand.
After adding the banners, I layered two ovals – one Whisper White and the other Sahara Sand – cut with the Ovals Framelits. The top oval has been scored using the Borders Scoring Plate. The score lines were inked with the Stampin’ Chalk Marker. Then, splatter was added to this layer as well. Finally, shells and a few loose Gold Sequins were added to finish the composition.
Now, it’s your turn…
