Have you noticed the Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit on page 21 of the Occasions Catalog? As usual with a Stampin’ Up! kit, it comes with lots of great goodies that can be used to make the kit project as designed or something else entirely, where ever your creativity takes you. All you need is a little time and adhesive.
A couple of weeks ago, a girlfriend and I got together to make our kits. For me it was a trial run for my Spring Wreath class that I am offering next week. But, making the kits together was a great way to spend some time with my friend. We broke out our glue guns and Silicone Crafts Sheets and got to work. The Silicone Craft Sheet is indispensable when using hot glue.
When we were done, we both gave the kit and the completed wreath two thumbs up.
These are a few of the completed flowers for my wreath. I can’t wait until my new Fringe Scissors come. I want to make some more of those Bachelor Button type flowers – like the center of the flower on the left. These flowers would be equally pretty glued to stems for a floral arrangement or added to gift packaging.
And this is my completed wreath. Looking at this pictures, I’m thinking this would make a good base for a centerpiece. I’m going to quick take a photo of my idea and I’ll be right back to share.
So here’s one take on my idea to use the Burlap and Blooms Wreath to create a centerpiece. Add: a footed bowl as I have here; one or several pillar candles; maybe a grouping of candlesticks. I’d love to see some fruit in this one but alas the cupboard is bare.
Time for me to head to the grocery. You should head over to my store and order your Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit and you may want to add the Silicone Craft Sheet (#127853).
