We arrived back home yesterday evening — two tired girls! We enjoyed our weekend away. We tried some new little places for food and will hope that some are there the next time we have a chance to go into the City. We love to explore so, we did LOTS of walking – I have the blisters to prove it. There are new shoes in my future. We made a visit to the Pickle Guys – my daughter loves most anything pickled and they pickle most anything. We took lots of pictures and visited a couple of museums – lots of inspiration between the two. And mostly, we thoroughly enjoyed each others company.
Today, I have my design team card for TSOT283.
It features the Botanical Builder Framelits.
My card starts with a standard 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base in Basic Black that has been scored down the center.
Next is a layer of Playful Palette designer paper measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″.
Over that are two stripes of Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon that have been adhered with Fast Fuse.
The center panel starts with a 2-1/8″ x 4-3/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock layered with a 2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock. The center panel was adhered with Dimensionals.
Using the Botanical Builder Framelits, I cut three of the large looped flower from Flirty Flamingo. Then, I used a Sponge Dauber and added Flirty Flamingo ink starting in the center and sweeping out the petals. To finish the flowers, I used my fingers to gently shape them and then added Basic Black stamens that had been cut with the Botanical Builder Framelits. The flowers were adhered directly to the center panel.
Finally, I cut two Emerald Envy flowers with the framelits and stamped the veins from Botanical Blooms in Emerald Envy. The leaves were tucked in under the center panel. That little bit of green really makes the flowers pop!
