Bloomin’ Love for TSOT253

It’s time for me to share a design team card for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday.  This week we have both a sketch and a theme challenge.  You can choose either the sketch or the theme or both.  I chose to work with both turning the sketch and incorporating the theme challenge (a color challenge) of black, white and red.

Using Bloomin’ Love for TSOT253, this is what I made:

Bloomin' Love for TSOT253 with lacy Bloomin' Heart layer - from

I started with a lovely Thick Whisper White card base then added a layer of Whisper White.

Over the Whisper White layer is a layer cut with the Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlits.  It’s three hearts that have been pieced together.  I think it makes for a beautiful lacy layer!  What do you think?

I viewed the sketch as representing an all over design.

At this point, I still needed to work in the red and black but didn’t want to do much so as to take away from the lacy layer I had created.

So, I took a piece of Everyday Chic washi and added it to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I like how the “x’s” on this washi tie in with the “x’s and o’s” stamped on the next layer up.

Next, I took the “xoxo” and Be Mine from Bloomin’ Hearts and inked them in Real Red before stamping the larger banner.  After punching the end of this banner with the Banner Triple Punch, I added a backing of Real Red cardstock that had also been punched.

Then, this trio of banners was popped up and on with dimensionals and finished with a row of Basic Rhinestones.
