This is a busy week for the orchestra at the high school. Some of the kids were invited to play with the Kutztown University Orchestra this evening. So mom’s taxi service driver, a.k.a. me, is spending the afternoon in Kutztown at my favorite coffee shop – Uptown Espresso Bar. I did my creating this morning after prepping the uniforms for this weekend’s orchestra adjudication. You wouldn’t believe how good a high school orchestra can sound!
While I sit here enjoying my mint tea and a fresh chocolate chip cookie, I thought I’d share what I made using Bloom With Hope and the Mojo395 sketch.
For whatever reason, I was stuck on creating with black and some shade of yellow.
I pulled a piece of the Stacked with Love designer paper and the Crushed Curry layer practically jumped into my hands. It is part of a card base from the April Paper Pumpkin – Love You a Lot.
The banner is a piece of Flower Pot designer paper. And though the dots are Hello Honey, it works in this small amount on the card.
Instead of the ribbon for the sketch, I wound Black Bakers Twine around the card three times to give it enough bulk/presence.
To give this basically simple card more visual appeal, there are lots of layers lifted with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Now, I’m going to sit here and enjoy the rest of this lovely afternoon while I wait to support the fabulous music program in our public schools that has made participating in this evening’s concert possible.
Don’t forget to support your local music and art programs in the schools.
