We had a wicked storm roll through here yesterday afternoon. You could just watch the ominous black clouds march across the sky. We were lucky as we had nothing but torrential rain. But, some parts of the area had heavy winds and perhaps a tornado. On a silly note to do with the storms, my daughter was thrilled by my phone squawking with the National Weather Alert. This was a first. We were pleased to get it by phone as there was no TV or radio on and it gave us time to think what we would do “just in case”.
My creation is a bit happier than the storm.
I used Blended Bloom and Layered Letters
to create this card. I inked in Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz and Mint Macaron. It was easy to eyeball lining up the sort of rectangular shape. This shape is slightly larger at one end so, I flipped it larger end top then narrower end top to fit them together.
As you’ll notice some of the Daffodil Delight rectangles are kind of distressed. I like this look as it adds a little texture to this basically flat card.
Blended Bloom was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped over the background design. I did over stamp a couple of times to get a really intense black image.
In the right hand corner, I added some of the new White Perfect Accents. And they were indeed the perfect accent for this card. They’re shiny and semi-translucent.
My focal image was then layered onto a piece of Soft Sky. Then this whole piece was added to a Crumb Cake base with dimensionals.
This was a fun, different way to use Blended Bloom and Layered Letters.
