Thanks for coming to my blog today! Kylie is hosting an international group of us creating with a Wedding Theme. And, you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project (I’m number 13). You can do that here through
April 18.
The wedding invitations that I’ve been asked to design lately have been bold designs full of color.
So when creating for the Highlights, I decided to make something that reflects that trend.
I started with a Night of Navy cardstock base
and added a layer of Night of Navy.
Then, I stamped the flower image from Birthday Blooms in Whisper White craft ink
and heat embossed in White.
Next, I used a Sponge Dauber and added a light coat of
Whisper White craft ink.
Taking a Blender Pen I added Melon Mambo and Garden Green ink to the
flowers and leaves.
Tip: Add the color a little at a time and come back to add more.
This will allow you to create some shading.
The flowers were finished with Fine Tip Glue Pen and a sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds.
For the sentiment, I used an image from the So In Love stamp set.
It was inked in Night of Navy on Whisper White.
It is backed with a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper cut with the
Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits.
Underneath, I’ve added half silver Metallic Foil Doily and loops of
silver Metallic Thread.
Final accents were Basic Rhinestones.
Please take a moment to vote to for my project (number 13). I would love to be chosen to participate in the international blog hop.
