Keeping it clean today! After an evening of saving the harvest in the form of a large pot of ratatouille, it was time to clean up my kitchen so that I had some creative space. Yep, you read that correctly! No craft room here (though I dream of one). I use about a foot and half of counter space in my kitchen for most of my creating. This afternoon it was creating with You’ve Got This. Last night it was creating with loads of zucchini, tomatoes, onions and peppers. Those large, overgrown zucchini are perfect for my recipe. We’ve eaten some of the ratatouille and I’ll freeze the rest in serving size packages for quickie dinners during the school year.
I played with a couple of challenges while creating with You’ve Got This. I used the FMS203 sketch and the GDP001 color challenge.
I started with the flower from You’ve Got This in Pink Pirouette on Whisper White. Then, using the rubber negative, I traced and cut out a silhouette in Pink Pirouette. The final touch for the flower was coloring the pistils and stamens with So Saffron.
Next, for the Whisper White background layer I used the Splattered Glitter technique to add a little dazzle but still keep this card clean and simple.
The next layer down is a piece of Smoky Slate over a 100lb. Whisper White base.
I used a sentiment from Embellished Ornaments but only inked a portion of it using a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write marker.
And here’s a little closer look at all of the details on this clean and simple You’ve Got This card.
