Berry Basket Box and Botanical Builder Framelits

April 23, 2016 No Comments

I’ve made a quick dash home this weekend.  It has been great to spend time with family that I don’t get to see nearly often enough!  We’ve even had time to sneak in a little shopping.  And I’m so glad we did!  We were able to find a dress for the senior recital and jewelry for prom and include grandma in the selection process.

Today’s creation combines the Berry Basket Bigz Die and Botanical Builder Framelits.

The berry basket and its lid were cut from Blackberry Bliss.  I’m going to miss this retiring color.  I think this might be one of my all time favorite purples!

Then, the lid was covered with Farmers Market designer paper.

This box was another request for Administrative Assistant Day.

Won’t it be pretty on the recipient’s desk?

And, it holds a lot of treats!

To decorate the lid, I started with a 1/2″ wide banner cut from Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

Then, I cut flowers from Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey cardstock using the Botanical Builder Framelits.

The leaves were cut from Mossy Meadow.

Dimension was added to each flower and leaf by using the stylus on the back of each petal and then again on the front to press in the center.  This last step really helps the petals to pop up.

To add some height to the massed flowers on the lid, I added a 1/2″ high ring of Blackberry Bliss cardstock to the center of the lid from which the flowers cascade down .  Using the Blackberry Bliss camouflaged the ring.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Berry Basket gift box.
