This morning, I felt as if I’d had a long vacation. When really there were only a couple of days without things to do. It was so nice to wake up ready to go and not have to pull/push myself into the day! I will savor these few days until our usual busy-ness catches up with me.
I’m so excited that tomorrow is the launch of this year’s Occasions catalog!! There are sooo many wonderful new products with which to create. I don’t know how they do it but, there are so many must haves!
Today, I’ve created with one of the new stamp set/coordinating die bundles – Bear Hugs. Love when there is a coordinating tool! I’ve combined Bear Hugs with GDP017 and Mojo429 for my card.
The whimsy of the Bear Hugs set just called to me! I see this set for Valentine’s Day to Father’s Day and everything in between — and beyond! I couldn’t wait to stamp and cut out one of these bears.
My colors for this card are Garden Green, Rose Red and Crumb Cake — perfect since those colors pull directly from the Love Blossoms designer paper stack. My bit of accent paper is from the stack.
I used my fringe scissors on the Garden Green strip for some grassy texture.
The Very Vanilla circle has been run through the Woodgrain embossing folder and then brushed with a Crumb Cake ink pad to highlight the grain.
After stamping the bear in Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock, I cut her out and turned her over so that I could stamp the arms again. That way, she looks like she has fur on both sides when her arms are folded.
The bunch of flowers was colored with Stampin’ Write markers so that the stems are Garden Green and the flowers are Rose Red.
She’s a cutey for a “thinking of you” or even an “I’m sorry” card.
Only a short time yet to wait before you may begin ordering from the Occasions Catalog.
I’m placing orders as soon as the catalog goes live. Let me know what you’d like and I will place yours for you.
