Balloon Celebration in Lemon Lime Twist

Hi! Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker.  Today, I’m sharing the birthday card I recently made for my daughter.  This Balloon Celebration in Lemon Lime Twist card is clean and fresh and looks like her style.

Balloon Celebration in Lemon Lime Twist

 

 

For her birthday card, I started with a Thick Whisper White base.

Then, I added a layer of Lemon Lime Twist to give a narrow border of color.

Over that, I added a layer of Whisper White covered with Fabulous Foil Acetate.

 

 

 

Next, I stamped balloons from Balloon Celebration in Lemon Lime Twist.

To cut them out, I used the Balloon Bouquet punch.

And to create a balloon bouquet, I attached Whisper White Baker’s Twine

leaving long streamers.

 

 

To add some interest to the sentiment layer, I cut Picture Perfect Party designer paper

with a Bunch of Banners Framelit.

Next, I stamped a banner from  Banners for You in Lemon Lime Twist.

Using the “happy birthday” from Balloon Celebration, I stamped in Lemon Lime Twist.

Then, I dipped a damp Aqua Painter across Lemon Lime Twist and swiped it across the sentiment.

Because swiping on the ink lightens the sentiment, I stamped it a second time.

Finally, I tied a big, loose Baker’s Twine bow around the balloon streamers.
