This year is full of lasts. The next last is tomorrow. It’s the last Winter dance performance. I think it’s been fifteen years. As the girls have gotten older, they have pooled their efforts and ideas and presented the teacher with a gift from the class. This year however, my daughter asked if we could do something on our own. She wanted me to create something special to hold our gift. No pressure! Well to borrow from baseball, I stepped up to the plate and took a swing. I got two thumbs up so, I’d say it was a homer!
Here’s what I have for tomorrow.
I turned to one of my favorite tools — the Curvy Keepsake Box.
Since the company girls always end the Winter dance concert with the Waltz of the Flowers, I went with that as inspiration.
She wears a tutu of Blushing Bride that has been punched with the Extra Large Oval punch. Each of the petals of the tutu is edged with Gold Glimmer paper that was also punched with the Extra Large Oval punch.
Her torso was cut using the Ovals Collection framelits. Then the front of the bodice was decorated with a piece of Gold Glimmer paper that has been cut with the Striped Scallop Thinlits.
Her arms, neck, and head were all punched from Very Vanilla cardstock. And her hair is Soft Suede.
I just L-O-V-E the Curvy Keepsake box!!!
If you don’t have one yet, trust me you need it! Find the link to get yours below with the rest of today’s supplies.
