My sister and I have been talking for months about doing a card class at her home when I’m visiting. Well, we’re going to do that this week! Some of my local friends saw the event posted and asked if I would do one here — of course! That’s on for next week. Today, I’m creating cards for the two Girls Night Out events. We’ll be making a Background Bits for Girls Night Out card. I thought you might enjoy a sneak peek at one of the cards we’ll make.

Have you seen the new Background Bits Hostess Set?
It contains a load of versatile images. And, they’re not just for backgrounds!
I used a Basic Black cardstock base.
Over that is a Whisper White layer.
Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the sentiment from Background Bits with Memento Black ink.
The Stamp-a-ma-jig is perfect for lining up your images!

Next, I added stripes of washi from the
Pick a Pattern and Basics Pack 1 washi.
Then, I used the Layering Circles to cut a piece of Melon Mambo
and the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut a piece of Whisper White
The flowers from Background Bits were stamped in Melon Mambo ink.
After attaching the various layers with Dimensionals, I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels
to finish the outside of the card.

Inside the card, I added a Whisper White panel
and stamped the single stem flower in Melon Mambo.
Then, I used the strip image inked in Melon Mambo to decorate the envelope flap.
