I’m off to New York City today with the high school orchestra! I was quite pleased to be asked to go along. There’s a clinic for the kids in the afternoon. Then we’ll enjoy dinner at Ellen’s Stardust Diner before heading off to Lincoln Center where we’ll be treated to a concert featuring Yo Yo Ma. I’m soo excited! And feeling very lucky!! It was all I could do to stay focused to create this Avant Garden Shutter Fun Fold card!!

Avant Garden Shutter Fun Fold
But, I didn’t forget about you in all the excitement! I created a card this morning combining Avant Garden and Pop of Pink designer paper for a black and white with a pop of color card.
Here’s my card, closed.
I’ve used Basic Black, Whisper White and Melon Mambo for this card.
It’s perfect for using up your bits and pieces of designer paper
as several smaller cuts are needed.
And this is the card opened!
I love that it stands all by itself because,
sometimes you want to display a card.
Have your Bone Folder handy to burnish all of the score lines.
The pattern of images from Avant Garden is repeated on some panels
and mirrored on others.
The flowers were stamped in Melon Mambo and
the dots were inked with Memento Black and stamped off first to soften the color a bit.
This sentiment from Avant Garden was perfect for this happy card.
Using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, I’ve added a trio of sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment
as an accent.
They give a similar feel to the stamped dots.
You can get Avant Garden free for just a while longer with a minimum $50 product order.
I’ll include a free tutorial for this card when you place the minimum order in my store.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Avant Garden and Pop of Pink card.
