All Things Thanks for International Highlights
When I started thinking about making today’s card, I knew I wanted it to be different than the Moon Baby themed card I made for the voting round.
Pop of Pink has been one of my favorite designer papers to play with this year.
So, I went bold.
I’ve used a Basic Black cardstock base
followed by the large black and white striped designer paper
from Pop of Pink.
Don’t you just love a black and white card with a pop of color?
This card is all about the layers!
There are Melon Mambo and Basic Black die cuts using the Flourish Thinlits.
After layering them, I used Clear Wink of Stella on the Basic Black flourish.
Tip: Use multiple layers of Clear Wink of Stella to achieve more shimmer! You’ll want to paint it on and come back when adding more.
Once the sentiment from All Things Thanks was stamped in Melon Mambo on Whisper White,
it was cut out with one of the Layering Circles Framelits.
More layers were added behind the sentiment.
There’s a scalloped Glimmer Paper circle and a Basic Black circle.
These too were cut with the Layering Circle Framelits.
Tip: Use Fast Fuse to attach the sentiment circle to the Glimmer Paper circle.
Several loops of Silver Metallic Thread were attached to the back of the Basic Black layer with Glue Dots before the sentiment piece was adhered with Dimensionals.
The outside was finished with three large Basic Rhinestones.
The inside was finished with a Whisper White layer embellished with
a Basic Black die cut from the Flourish Thinlits.

Bold and striking. Great use of the Pop of Pink Sara. Jay x
Thanks Jay! I’m going to be sad when Pop of Pink retires.
You DID go bold, and it paid off. Well done, Sara. I really like your card.
Thanks Jenny! I think I’m having a “bold” week.
Stunning card Sara! Love the bright pink against the black – wonderful contrast!
Thank you Lea! I’ve been hoarding these striped sheets. I need to make a few more things, now that I’ve made the first cut.
Love Love LOVE!! I was just thinking of doing something with the Pop of Pink-you’ve inspired me!!
Excellent! Rebecca. Can’t wait to see what you create using Pop of Pink!
These cards couldn’t be more different, but they both have that WOW factor! The pink, black, and white are so bold together… and so fancy! I love that glimmer of gold in there!
Thanks Natalie! Isn’t that the really wonderful thing about stamps? — how different each creation with the same stamps can be.
Wow, very striking Sara … reminds me of those opulently decorated hats and a hat box … pure style!! xx
Thank you Cheryll! I love those hat boxes you mention.
