International Blog Highlights Banner

Welcome to the International Highlights Top 10 Winners Blog Hop!

Thank you for voting for our previous creations!!

We are using the wonderful stamp set All Things Thanks.

It’s one of the sentiment stamp sets that’s perfect for everyone’s collection.

If you’ve come from Kylie’s blog, I know you loved what she had to share.

Now, here’s my take on All Things Thanks.

When I started thinking about making today’s card, I knew I wanted it to be different than the Moon Baby themed card I made for the voting round.

All Things Thanks Moon Baby card from theartfulinker.com

Pop of Pink has been one of my favorite designer papers to play with this year.

So, I went bold.

All Things Thanks Pop of Pink card from theartfulinker.com

I’ve used a Basic Black cardstock base

followed by the large black and white striped designer paper

from Pop of Pink.

Don’t you just love a black and white card with a pop of color?

This card is all about the layers!

There are Melon Mambo and Basic Black die cuts using the Flourish Thinlits.

After layering them, I used Clear Wink of Stella on the Basic Black flourish.

Tip: Use multiple layers of Clear Wink of Stella to achieve more shimmer! You’ll want to paint it on and come back when adding more.

Once the sentiment from All Things Thanks was stamped in Melon Mambo on Whisper White,

it was cut out with one of the Layering Circles Framelits.

More layers were added behind the sentiment.

There’s a scalloped Glimmer Paper circle and a Basic Black circle.

These too were cut with the Layering Circle Framelits.

Tip: Use Fast Fuse to attach the sentiment circle to the Glimmer Paper circle.

Several loops of Silver Metallic Thread were attached to the back of the Basic Black layer with Glue Dots before the sentiment piece was adhered with Dimensionals.

The outside was finished with three large Basic Rhinestones.

The inside was finished with a Whisper White layer embellished with

a Basic Black die cut from the Flourish Thinlits.

Thank you Lea! I’ve been hoarding these striped sheets. I need to make a few more things, now that I’ve made the first cut.

  • Natalie Lapakko April 4, 2017 at 7:14 pm

These cards couldn’t be more different, but they both have that WOW factor! The pink, black, and white are so bold together… and so fancy! I love that glimmer of gold in there!

    • Sara Levin April 5, 2017 at 6:00 am

Thanks Natalie! Isn’t that the really wonderful thing about stamps? — how different each creation with the same stamps can be.

  • Cheryll Miller April 4, 2017 at 5:34 pm

Wow, very striking Sara … reminds me of those opulently decorated hats and a hat box … pure style!! xx

    • Sara Levin April 5, 2017 at 5:59 am

Thank you Cheryll! I love those hat boxes you mention.
