The Spot Creative Challenge

This week for The Spot Creative Challenge 138, we’re playing with a card making sketch.  To play along, you can make a card using the sketch and post it to the challenge blog.  And to play along, it’s not necessary to have a blog of your own!

All Things Fabulous Card

Today, I pulled out my All Things Fabulous Bundle (bundles receive a savings) to ink it up for the first time.  And as you can see, I decided to play with brighter non traditional colors.  If you visit regularly, I know that comes as no surprise that I would use non traditional colors in my stamping.

This card is perfect for thinking of you, just because and birthday.

To keep a clean look for this card and yet give it some detail, I used the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder on the background layer.  With this folder you get a small all over pattern.  The added texture is subtle and  great for so many projects.

The stamps in the All Things Fabulous set are for two step stamping.  That means there are lots of possibilities for creating layers of stamped texture on your flowers.  Here, I’ve used Coastal Cabana and Blushing Bride to create that layered color.

One of my favorite pieces from the Fabulous Florals Dies is the filigree piece used for the Gold Foil.  The delicate die cut makes a lovely backdrop for the clean lines of the sentiment.  And speaking of the sentiment, after heat embossing I used the Banners Pick a Punch to add a little detail.
