Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  Today has been all about early morning creating and wrangling my computer.  The good news, is that I was able to start my day with creating.  It’s been a while since I started this way and I decided to play along with a challenge.  Which gave me a head start for my All the Good Things for TGIFC187 card.

 

All the Good Things for TGIFC187

 

 

This week’s TGIFC187 technique challenge is all about sponging.

 

 

For this card, you’ll start with a Pacific Point card base.

Then, add a layer of Whisper White.

Next, you’ll cut a smaller piece of Whisper White for the focal layer.

Starting with Balmy Blue in the center begin sponging.

As you work your sponging outward, you’ll begin to overlap with Pacific Point

and sponge all the way out to the edges with it.

Using a barely damp Aqua Painter, lightly stroke to add ripples in the “water”.

 

 

Use the fish from All the Good Things with the Stamparatus®,

inking with Lemon Lime Twist.

Then, use a Sponge Dauber to add Granny Apple Green ink

accents and stamp again.

For the water plants, use the feathery leaf from Pop of Petals.

Stamp a few onto the focal layer in Call Me Clover and Shaded Spruce.

Then, stamp two more on Whisper White and cut out the

leaves and fish with your Paper Snips.

 

 

After adhering the leaves and fish with Stampin’ Dimensionals,

stamp the sentiment on a piece of Pacific Point and emboss in white.

Under the sentiment, add a few small loops of Silver Metallic Thread.

And finish the card with Frosted Epoxy Droplets.
