Spring is here! You know how I can tell? It’s not the return of the birds or my crocus and then muscari blooming. It’s not even just the warmer days and brighter sun. It’s the people. The kids popped out a couple of weeks ago. But, this week I’m beginning to see the adults. A little yard work here, a little repair work there. I’m right there with them. I was moved to clean out one of my flower beds yesterday evening. Granted it was the smallest. But hey, it’s still one down! I just need to remember my gloves for the next one. Who knew you could get all those little things stuck in your hands? Ok, I did. But apparently/conveniently, I forgot since last Spring. I need to pick up a new pair of those cotton gloves with the fingers dipped in rubber — they’re my fav for gardening.
Today’s creation has nothing to do with gardening and in fact, looks more like Summer.
It’s been a while since my last scrapbook page share and it seemed like time.
For this page, I incorporated a couple of cards from the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! deck called Everyday Adventure.
I had a brainstorm for my border strip. I wanted a shape running the full 12 inch length and most of my dies won’t do that. Can you guess what I used? It’s the Simply Scored Borders Plate! I just hand cut along the line I embossed. So thrilled thinking of the possibilities!!
The hearts are from one of the Everyday Adventure cards. I punched those with the heart from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

For my journaling space, I used another of the Everyday Adventure cards and then topped it with a piece of the same card the border hearts are from. I’ve got about half of that card left that I’ll save for a future project.
Tip: to line up/space my candy dots on the journaling card, I used the card of candy dots. As I pulled each dot off that I was going to use, I aligned it with one on the card. Easy spacing!
