For this week’s #stampingsunday, I decided to ask everyone to create using a theme rather than a stamp set or tool. Today, we’re creating anything Easter themed. If you’d like to play along, pull out your stamping supplies and make an Easter themed creation. Then upload it to your social media (one or all). Be sure to include the hashtag – #stampingsunday so that everyone can find it. We love to see lots of creative sharing.
My share today is a hybrid creation, meaning I used both traditional stamping supplies and My Digital Studio.
I pulled out my Pop ‘n Cuts base and cut my Pistachio Pudding card base. Then, I added the Label Pop ‘n Cuts and cut another piece of Pistachio Pudding for the interior of the card. I ran the top part of the interior piece through the Big Shot in the Modern Mosaic embossing folder. Next, I gathered my Secret Garden stamp set and framelits. Inking with Blushing Bride and Pool Party, I stamped several of each of two flowers then cut them with the coordinating framelits. For the leaves, I cut Pear Pizzazz with the framelits. It is just enough darker than the Pistachio Pudding to give a nice contrast. Now, I wanted a bunny so I fired up My Digital Studio and used the bunny from Little Additions. It’s the same one I used here. After printing him and cutting him out, it was time to assemble. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals under the bunny and the Blushing Bride flowers at the front of the card. All other pieces were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Finally, I decided to add small Basic Pearls to the center of each of the flowers at the front of the card.
It’s just a sweet, soft, pastely (not sure that’s a word) card. I think I’m going to let my husband send it to his mom for Easter. There’s even room for him to write a message to her. She’ll get a kick out of that.
Now you’ve seen mine. What did you create? Have you finished your holiday decorations? If not, you’ll have to do what I’m doing — place an order and expedite it.
