Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Today, I’m hopping with the A Paper Pumpkin Thing design team. We’re here to share alternate ideas for the July Paper Pumpkin Kit. So, let’s get started with the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Picnic Paradise!
A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Picnic Paradise
This month’s Picnic Paradise kit.
For my alternate Picnic Paradise card, I added a Granny Apple Green
base and layer.
On the layer, I stamped with the stitched image in Soft Suede.
Then, I used one of the 3″ x 3″ Crumb Cake cards in the kit and
embossed it with the Basket Weave folder.
Before adding it to the card, I cut a banner end.
Next, I added two strips from the gingham cotton paper.
Using one of the die cut apples, I coated it with Fine Tip Glue.
Doing this gave it sheen and made it look like a dimensional epoxy sticker.
After tucking in one of the leaf stickers, I added a banner stamped with “thank you”.
This card makes me think back to school or teacher thank you.
A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Picnic Paradise Favor
Since I loved the little baskets in the kit so much,
I created a basket alternate from Crumb Cake cardstock.
These are a great way to get extra mileage from the Picnic Paradise stamp set.
I’ll be giving baskets of goodies right on through the Fall.
To stamp the sides of my basket, I used the weave pattern image.
It was easy to line up rows and to match the sides as well.
For the picnic cloth, I used a piece of tissue paper and stamped
just a portion of the weave pattern in Granny Apple Green.
After inserting a cellophane bag to hold my goodies,
I tied it closed with the bakers twine from the kit
and a piece of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave ribbon.
For the tag, I used an embossed piece of the 3″ x 3″ card from above
that I had trimmed away.
Using my 3/4″ Circle Punch, I punched smaller blueberries and leaves from the die cut sheets.
Over those, I added a banner stamped with “Enjoy” and a Clear Basic Rhinestone accent.
