Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker. Today, I’m joining the A Paper Pumpkin Thing design team as we share alternative ideas for the May 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit. We’ve got lots of inspiration for Father’s Day and beyond. So let’s start by checking out my creations for the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Manly Moments.
Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin Kit June 2018
The Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin kit came with
2 different card designs
2 sets of die cut tags
2 sets of die cut banners
die cut sticker layers
2 sets of beautiful envelopes
an exclusive stamp set
and a Mossy Meadow ink spot.
A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Manly Moments Card for Him
The intent for this set was to create masculine cards.
So for my first alternative idea, I re-imagined the card using the beautiful plaid.
First, I cut away the woodgrain.
Then, I added a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that runs under the plaid
to create a full size card.
Next, I used the stamp set to create the sentiment on the tag and banner.
A favorite for him card seemed like a great idea!
To finish this simple card, I tucked in some of the twine from last month’s kit.
If you didn’t get last month’s kit, you can choose the Nature’s Twine from the new catalog.
A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Manly Moments Card for Her
Now, I had that piece of woodgrain left from the card above.
So, I decided to make a card for her.
First, I used a Stampin’ Sponge and added some Mint Macaron.
Then, I added a Mint Macaron base.
Next, I edged the top and bottom of the woodgrain with scrap pieces of Whisper White.
Building towards the sentiment, I added a Mint Macaron banner and a piece of
Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon.
After stamping the tag from the kit, I added some fussy cut flowers
from Share What You Love designer paper.
A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Manly Moments Favors for Him and Her
Then, I went on to create a simple favor using one of the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes.
To cover the sides, I used two of the die cut stickers from the kit.
I love the illusion the stickers and clear box create!
Instead of folding the lid, I left is straight and added a piece of Mint Macaron
stamped with trees from the Waterfront stamp set.
And, I cut off the two side tabs to leave the top completely open.
But wait, I created a favor for her too!
Instead of trees, I stamped flowers from Love What You Do.
Then, I tucked some of that great Polka Dot Ribbon under the Mint Macaron Nature’s Twine.
