Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  Today, I’m participating in the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Friends of a Feather.  The design team have created a slew of alternative ideas using the October Paper Pumpkin kit.  So, let’s look at what I created and then be sure to check out the rest of the design team inspiration.

 

 

Friends of a Feather Paper Pumpkin Kit

 

 

Here’s the contents of this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit.

You got 2 different styles of cards

with beautiful coordinating envelopes.

Lots of lacy feathers and stem die cuts.

Labels and tags, Copper Baker’s Twine, Copper Cotton ribbon,

adhesive back sequins,

and an exclusive stamp set and Night of Navy Stampin’ Spot

are yours in the October Paper Pumpkin kit.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Friends of a Feather

 

 

For this alternative card, start with a Grapefruit Grove panel base.

Then, add a layer of Cajun Craze.

Next, cut one of the Grapefruit Grove envelopes, in the kit, in half,

open it up, and cut a panel from the decorative inside for your card front.

 

 

Then, cut one of the Crumb Cake Cards in half.

Using the Friends of a Feather stamp set, stamp several

feathers in Night of Navy.

Layer with die cut stems from the kit

and one of the printed labels.

With the 1/2″ Circle Punch cut a piece of Night of Navy.

Then, stamp the sentiment on a piece of Whisper White and cut with

the 1/4″ Circle Punch.

 

 

Adhere the Crumb Cake card half to the layered base.

Then, adhere the die cut label with the layered circles.

Finish with a Copper Baker’s Twine bow.

Alternative 2

 

 

For my second alternative, I created a simple napkin ring.

I was thinking ahead to Thanksgiving (already).

Start with a Cajun Craze strip.

After softening it with your Bone Folder,

adhere it together.

 

 

Next, add loops of Copper Metallic Thread.

Layer with a 1/2″ circle of Night of Navy and a 1/4″ circle of Grapefruit Grove

Then finish with two of the die cut leaves from the Friends of a Feather

Paper Pumpkin kit.
