Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. And, I hope that you had the same pleasure I did over the past few days! With just a little bit of coordinating schedules, I was able to see much of my family. I love spending time with them! Now, I’m home and ready to share my alternative creations for the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Day by Day.
A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Day by Day
The December 2018 Paper Pumpkin
contained pieces to make an 18 month calendar.
And, there was an exclusive stamp set
along with ink spots in Grapefruit Grove and Pool Party.
While the December kit sold out,
there’s still time to subscribe for the January 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit!
The kit will coordinate with the fun Animal Outing stamp set.
Sign up by January 10!

Alternative Card
This cute alternative card design will have you ready for
18 months of birthdays!
Start with a Pool Party base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
Then add a layer of Whisper White that is 1/8″ larger on all sides
than the calendar piece.
Using the Pool Party Stampin’ Spot and one of the stamps in the set,
create a design in the blank spot between the header and “January”.
Then stamp the circle around your January date.
Add the layered calendar piece to the card using Dimensionals.
And finish with a bow made with the blue weave ribbon in the kit.

Alternative 3D
To go with the card, here’s a super simple gift!
Using the repeated pattern image, stamp with Grapefruit Grove
onto five of the die cut stickers.
Wrap five Hershey Nuggets.
Then cut Pool Party cardstock to 2-1/2″ x 5″
and score in portrait at 1/2″ on both sides.
Slide the tray into a cellophane bag.
After adding the nuggets, tie shut with the blue weave ribbon.
To dress up the tag, mask the center with a sticky note.
Then using an Aqua Painter and Grapefruit Grove ink,
watercolor the bottom and top to mimic the calendar pieces in the kit.
Tip: Pounce the Grapefruit Grove Stampin’ Spot on your acrylic block
to create a palette that you can pick up ink from for your water coloring.
