Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. And today, I’m happy to have you here so that I can share a couple of alternative ideas for the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit. In fact, the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Broadway Star is today! So let’s take a look at what I’ve created. Then, you’ll want to check what the rest of the design team has put together. A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Broadway Star
The June 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit came with:
2 styles of decorative card bases
3 styles of die cut sticker banners
die cut marquees
die cut gold foil words
die cut balloons
die cut cakes
adhesive back gold sequins
adhesive back pearls
black and gold baker’s twine
Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Spot
Exclusive Broadway Star stamp set
For my alternative card design, I put together this Congrats card.
First, I added a Basic Black card base.
Then, I trimmed one of the Black and White card bases
into a layer size.
Next, I ran one of the white die cut banners (backing on) through the Big Shot
with the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder.
Over that, I added a figure eight of black and gold baker’s twine
from the kit.
After cutting a piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock with the largest
Stitched Shapes Circle, I embossed the small star image from the
Broadway Star stamp set.
Then, I used my Stamparatus (see below for my special offer) to line up the “congrats”
on one of the white die cut strips from the kit.
I adhered it with a piece of Foam Adhesive Strip.
Finally, I added a few adhesive back gold sequins from the kit.
A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Broadway Star Treat Box
I always like to create some sort of favor using part of my Paper Pumpkin Kit.
I just love having little things to share with friends for no special reason!
To make my treat box or favor, I used half of one of the designer envelopes
included in the kit.
Then, I created the striped banner using the pieces I had trimmed away
from the layer for my card.
Next, I added some of the black and gold baker’s twine.
(But, I really want to hoard that stuff!)
Over the twine, I added a stitched Lovely Lipstick circle.
And for the sentiment, I reached back to my Manly Moments stamp set.
A little masking and I have the “for you”.
Now to add some chocolates!

Great idea running that white banner through the big shot. I like that so much better. And the half envelope into a treat box – that’s a great trick too. Thanks for both of your ideas.
Thanks Monika! Sometimes is just a little detail that can make all the difference.
Wow, dry embossing AND heat embossing – great way to step up the cards in the kit. Nice job!
Thanks Candy! Sometimes it’s good to go back to basics.
Love your card and treat bag. Thanks
Thanks Anita! So glad you stopped by today and took the time to let me know you liked the alternative Paper Pumpkin creations.
