As you know from previous posts, I have been playing with the Spiral Flower die. When I was using it last week to create, I had what turned out to be a “happy accident” with one of the flowers. Things fell apart for my project but as they did, I saw something new – a pine cone. Take a look.
As I mentioned, I used the Spiral Flower die for the pine cones. I dusted them with “snow” by using Dazzling Details. My pine bough was made using the chevron arrow image in Petal Parade (Sale-A-Bration). It was inked with Garden Green. The card base and bird (Bird Builder punch) are both in Cherry Cobbler. A little Two-Way Glue and Gold Stampin’ glitter were used for the bird’s eye. And at the bottom of the Very Vanilla layer, you’ll spy a strip of Watercolor Wonder washi tape.
Here’s a close up of the pine cones:
Boy was I surprised to see myself creating a Christmas card from the Occasions catalog offerings! I may have to order some more of that Watercolor Wonder washi tape to have on hand for holiday cards, tags and packages.
And here’s a quick video showing you how to create the pine cones with the Spiral Flower die:
