8 Days to Sale-A-Bration or Good as Gold Meets Peachy Keen

Sale-A-Bration is coming!  Sale-A-Bration is coming!!  As I typed that I thought Paul Revere.  Coming in 8 days is one of the most exciting times of the Stampin’ Up! year.  Why?  Because for 2 1/2 months, every time you purchase a multiple of $50 in product you get to choose a Free, Exclusive Sale-A-Bration item.  There’s something there for everyone and if you’re like me, there’s more then one something.

Now for Good as Gold.  This is a fun card kit that you can receive free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 product order.  It contains 8 card bases with this confetti design — front and back.  That got the wheels turning.  There are also 8 gold foil envelope liners (more ideas), a sheet of printed, die cut tags, a sheet of gold foil tags, 8 gold elastic cords, 8 pieces of Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine and 8 envelopes.

Okay, back to those cards that are printed on both sides.  I immediately wanted to cut them apart and use them in halves at most, that confetti design is so cute.  So here’s what I did:

I cut a Bermuda Bay card base and then pulled out one of the cute confetti note cards and cut a strip.  As you can see, I used that as my base layer.  Then I took a piece of Whisper White and inking stamps from Peachy Keen with Bermuda Bay,  I stamped the top and bottom of this layer.  Next, I took one of the die cut tags and turned it into the Tangerine Tango banner on the front of the card.  There was a small remainder piece that I tucked in and layered with the banners at the bottom of the Whisper White layer.  These banners were created with Banner Blast and the Banner punch that is an SAB item you may earn.  Now, I cheated.  I took my Small Heart punch and punched a heart from the bottom of the gold foil envelope liner (nobody will notice, right?).  Don’t you just love the look of that foil liner tucked into the envelope?   Only 8 more days and you can get yours.
